Ooey Gooeyyy Chocolate Chip Cookies...

Thick, chewy, and Oh so delicious! Thats what comes to mind whenever I bake these cookies. Once again, they may be so good, you will need to toss them in the garbage.. Waste NOT waist right ;)

Ingredients

2 Cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup melted butter
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1tsp vanilla

1 cup chocolate chip cookies

Preheat oven @ 325 degrees f

Directions

Mix flour, salt, and baking soda- set aside
mix eggs brown sugar, and white sugar, butter
Add vanilla
Add the flour mix, until you get a nice cookie dough
Add chocolate chips

Put into balls set in baking tray, and put in freezer for about 5 minutes, put into preheated oven and allow to bake for 15-17 minutes.

This usually makes about 36 cookies, and I usually like to take half of it, and leave it in the freezer for another day :)

Enjoy

I have been baking these for a couple of years now... and they are always a winning combination, and people always ask for recipe, seconds, or both :)

  1. Essalam Alaikum Sister, Masha'allah these look scrumptious! Oh how I miss chocolate chip cookies! We don't have brown sugar here in our desert so I will have to wait until I bring some back with me when I visit the States Insha'allah!

  2. Hello Jennifer... Yes.. they are OH so delicious... and no brown sugar? wow.. where r u? anyway, you can always make your own brown sugar if you have sugar and molasses... mix 1 cup white sugar to 1-2 tablespoons molasses and mix very well.. (that's how regular brown sugar is made.. ).

Take care.. and thanks for passing by :)

  3. I know how to make brown sugar, it's very simple. But unfortunately we don't have molasses here either We do however have date syrup which maybe I can use instead of molasses, and it's the time now for dates, we are harvesting these days. I wonder how brown sugar made w/ date syrup would taste? :D I live in the desert of Algeria, very similar to Saudi actually. If you would be interested I have several posts on my blog about where I live... in pictures mostly, you are more than welcomed to take a peek.
